Who is Antonio?
Antonio Rivero is a highly sought-after Venezuelan drummer, singer, percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, known for his dynamic performances and wide-ranging musical expertise. He was born in Venezuela and studied in Caracas, Berlin, and Lübeck, before settling in Hamburg. Antonio's impressive resume includes collaborations with esteemed artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Stewart Copeland, Sister Sledge, Leela James and Angelique Kidjo, demonstrating his versatility across numerous genres.
Since 2022, he has focused on musical theater as a performer, gaining notable experience at the Neuköllner Oper in Berlin and guided by mentors such as Christian Schleicher, Christian Stadlhofer and Thomas Maxeiner. His expertise in production and mixing was cultivated under the Spanish producer Soma, enhancing his skill set in the studio.
Operating from his studio in Lübeck, Germany. Antonio records remotely as a drummer, percussionist, and singer for various artists and is currently working on his debut EP titled "Chameleon." His drumming background spans a wide range of styles, collaborating with groups like Ya Puso La Marrana, Dr. Ring Ding, Vello Publico, Talk across the Room, Telares, Alejandro Lopes, Max&Friends, the Stegreif Orchestra and the Berlin Pop Symphonic Orchestra, as well as performing with prestigious ensembles such as the Staatstheater Nürnberg, NDR Big Band, Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg and Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Antonio is also passionate about education, actively conducting workshops that nurture the next generation of musicians in improvisation, rhythm, and interpretation. His commitment to artistic collaboration and mentorship continues to shape the music landscape.
